Adeni Tea or Arabic Shai

Arabic Tea is popular throughout the Arab world and it is usually served very sweet in a small glass, about 4 ounces. Its common to have with breakfast, dinner, or afternoon tea. Some people dont like to put in too many spices so thats totally up to you. But the one spice which is almost always used is cardamom and I recommened it because it has such a lovely smell.
Ingredients
About 3 cups of water
2 teaspoons loose tea (or 2 tea bags)
About 6 ounces of evaporated milk or to taste - Unsweetened
sugar to taste (I used 1/4 cup)
5-10 cardamom pods, crushed
3-4 whole cloves - optional
1/8 tsp. cinnamon - optional
1/8 tsp. nutmeg - optional
2 teaspoons loose tea (or 2 tea bags)

How to make
1. First heat the water, spices, milk and sugar in a tea kettle over medium heat. Boil for approx. 5-10 minutes or until you can start to smell the spices.
2. Then add inthe tea and let it cook for a couple minutes or until the tea turns the color that you like. (Some prefer to do the other way and put the tea in first then the milk but its really up to you I don't find it makes too much difference).
3. Enjoy!
